Love Me (Justin Bieber song)

Love Me is a song by Canadian musician Justin Bieber. It was released on 26 October 2009 promo recordings from his debut EP My World, whereupon it placed among others in Canada, the U.S. and the UK in the charts. Some elements of the title was taken from the song " Lovefool " by the Swedish rock band The Cardigans.

Background

The song was recorded at Serenity Sound Studio in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was produced in the Side 3 Studios in Denver (Colorado). The mixing took place in North Hollywood in the Larrabee Studios.

Originally Bieber announced that the third single of the EP would be an acoustic remix of the first single, " One Time". This should appear on October 27, 2009. A week before the publication date the plans were changed and "Love Me " is selected as a new publication.

Music Video

The music video was directed by Alfredo Flores and shown for the first time on August 3, 2010. Bieber acted as co-director. The singer said in an interview that the video is intended as a recognition for his fans all over the world. He wanted to thank the help of the clip with them.

The video consists mostly of live performances Bieber, some backstage sequences and samples for concerts. Fan meetings are also visible, as is the as Bieber's mentor Usher designated.

Success

Reception

The song was rated positively. The Washington Post, for example, rated it as one of the best EP My World, describing it as a " simple club song." Mike Diver wrote in his review that the title as "a Steeped in electronic music reinterpretation of the song" Lovefool "by the band The Cardigans. " Bieber as also " the right attitude " in which " playful " and " adorable " is. The New York Times was of the opinion that the song " in the recent past is probably the only one that has two members of the band The Cardigans owe liabilities".

Commercial success

The song reached no chart position in many parts of Europe. Only in the UK, it entered the charts. There, the title debuted at number 71 and was already after a week out. In the Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100, he was much more successful, he reached there 37th and twelfth.
