Lucho González

Luis Óscar González ( born January 19, 1981 in Buenos Aires, Argentina), known as Lucho, is an Argentine football player. Lucho is an attacking midfielder, but can be used on many positions. González is known for its fighting strength, good condition and dangerous long-range shots.

Career

In the club

His footballing career started when Argentine club Club Atlético Huracán, for whom he debuted in the first division in April 1999. In 2002 he moved to the Argentine top club River Plate, where he quickly rose to a fixed size and is recommended for European clubs. So in 2005 he moved to the Portuguese top club FC Porto, with whom he won the Portuguese league and cup double in his first season. Even in subsequent seasons 2006 / 07, 2007/ 08 and 2008/ 09 FC Porto won the Portuguese Championship with González. For the 2009/10 season Lucho moved initially for 18 million euros to Olympique Marseille. In January 2012, he moved again free transfer from Marseille returned to FC Porto. In his first game after returning in the Portuguese League Cup, he scored one goal and contributed equally to the 2-0 victory of his team over at Vitória Setúbal. End of January 2014, he joined the career finale for Al- Rayyan Sports Club in Qatar. The transfer fee was approximately 3.3 million euros.

In the National Team

His international debut for the Argentine national football team, he played in January 2003. Since he was in 41 internationals on the field, scoring 5 goals. He was at the Copa America 2004 one of the great stars of the Argentine team and was instrumental in the finals against Brazil. In the same year he won with the selection of Argentina the gold medal at the Olympic Games 2004. He participated in the 2006 World Cup in part and came up in 3 games used. He also was in the squad for the Argentina Copa America 2007 in Venezuela.
