Lucy Briers

Lucy Jane Briers ( born August 19, 1967 in Hammersmith, London) is a British theater and film actress.

Life

Lucy Briers came in 1967 as the daughter of actor Richard Briers and Ann Davies in the London Borough of Hammersmith, to the world, where she attended from 1978 to 1985, the St. Paul 's Girls School. Even as a child she wanted to follow in the footsteps of their parents and become an actress. After she studied theater at Lancaster University until 1988, she took part in the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School on a three-year acting course. In 1992, she stood for the TV movie A Masculine Ending the first time on camera. It was followed by an appearance in the sci-fi series Red Dwarf. However, they focused mainly on her theater career. She has performed over the years in several Shakespeare plays, including The Tempest, Henry IV, Othello and As You Like It.

In the BBC miniseries Pride and Prejudice ( Pride and Prejudice ) by Jane Austen's novel of the same in 1995, she played the role of unassuming Mary Bennet alongside Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth. In 2000, she took on the roles of Paulina and the Dorcas in a production of Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale ( The Winter 's Tale ), for which she received good reviews. For her dual role as Betty and Edward in Cloud Nine 2004, she earned a nomination for the Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actress. Furthermore, she appeared in the British television series such as Agatha Christie's Poirot, Genie in the House, Doctors and Midsomer Murders.

Briers has a sister called Kate. Since 1995 she has been married to actor and director Simon Cox, who was the director even with pieces such as Harvest and Outside Edge, where Briers on stage.
