Lucy Lawless
Lucy Lawless, MNZM ( born March 29, 1968 in Mount Albert, Auckland as Lucille Francis Ryan ) is a New Zealand actress, film producer and singer.
Life and career
Lucy Lawless was born the fifth of seven children of Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Julie Ryan. Initial experience with acting, she gained even during their time at school and she decided - after a short-term attempt to train for the opera singer - then first for language studies at the University of Auckland. After one year she dropped out of this study to tour with her future husband Garth Lawless Germany and Switzerland. Following this, the couple moved there only to Australia, where Lawless worked in a gold mine among others, and then back to New Zealand.
After supporting roles in New Zealand TV series and short films Lawless graduated in 1991 at the William Davis Centre for Actors Study in Vancouver acting school. Through her role in attack on the Rainbow Warrior was then known outside of New Zealand.

Meanwhile moon received the name Dysnomia, the Greek goddess of lawlessness (English lawlessness ), which is a direct tribute to Lawless, according to Brown.
