Luis Miguel Martín

Luis Miguel Martín ( Luis Miguel Martín Berlanas; born January 11, 1972 in Madrid ) is a former Spanish hurdler.

The former middle-distance runner moved in 1998 to the 3,000-meter steeplechase and was at first Ibero- American champion and fourth at the European Athletics Championships in Budapest. The following year, he presented with 8:11,18 min on his first of four national records, but failed at the World Athletics Championships in Seville in the flow.

In 2000 he was Spanish champion and fifth at the Olympic Games in Sydney. The following year he was fourth at the World Championships in Edmonton, and in 2002 he won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Munich.

A sixth place finish at the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis was followed by a fifth at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and an eleventh at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki. In September 2009, he announced his retirement from competitive sports.

Luis Miguel Martín is 1,80 m tall and weighed about 67 kg competition times. He was trained by Manuel Pascua and launched in 2000 for the team of the company Nike.
