Lyndsay McIntosh

Lyndsay McIntosh ( born 1955 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish politician and former member of the Conservative Party.

Political career

In the first elections to the Scottish Parliament in 1999 McIntosh ran for the Conservative Party in the constituency of Kilmarnock and Loudoun. She received a vote share of 11.7 %, which was behind Margaret Jamieson of the Labour Party and Alex Neil of the SNP in third place. However, McIntosh was on the first rank of the Regional List of Conservative Party for choosing Region Central Scotland and moved due to the election results in the newly created Scottish Parliament. At the end of the legislature McIntosh resigned from the Conservative Party and joined the newly formed Scottish People's Alliance. For this she was a candidate in the parliamentary elections in 2003 one more time for Kilmarnock and Loudoun. However, they received only 1.2% of the vote.
