Magallanes (Sorsogon)

Magallanes is a Philippine municipality in the province of Sorsogon. It has 35 443 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ). The community cross to the north by the Bay of Sorsogon and to the west by the Ticao passage.

History

In Magallanes, the first Catholic Mass was held on the island of Luzon. The Baranggay Siuton is the site of the ancient Ibalon or Gibalon.
