Magdalena Wunderlich

Magdalena Wunderlich ( born May 16, 1952 in Großhesselohe ) is a former German canoeist. It was 1972 Olympic bronze medalist in canoe slalom.

The for the MTV Munich 1879 An incoming Wunderlich was in 1970 German youth champion in whitewater. In 1971 she won the German championship in slalom. The Wild Water World Cup 1971 Wunderlich finished second in the individual standings to second place behind Ulrike Deppe, in the team competition won the West German team with Deppe, Wunderlich and Anne Marie Amslinger. At the 1972 Olympics canoe slalom was first olympic. For the Federal Republic of Ulrike Deppe, Gisela Grothaus and Magdalena Wunderlich competed. While Deppe only finished seventh, Grothaus attended with silver and bronze with Wunderlich for two West German medals behind Angelika Bahmann from the GDR. 1973 won Deppe, Grothaus and Wunderlich together the team standings at the Whitewater World Cup. 1974 Wunderlich was again German champion in canoe slalom.
