Malay (Aklan)
Malay is a Philippine municipality in the province of Aklan. It has 45 811 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ). It has an area of 67.31 km ² and a population density of 364 inhabitants per square kilometer.
Geography
The municipality is part of the Administrative Region Western Visayas and the only district of the province of Aklan. However, the resort island of Boracay is geographically a part of the municipality, not administratively. It is managed by the Philippine Tourism Authority and the provincial government of the province of Aklan. Parts of the Northwest Panay Peninsula Natural Park located on the territory of the municipality.
