The Godofredo P. Ramos Airport (Filipino: Godofredo P. Ramos Paliparang ) is an airport located in the province of Aklan on the island of Panay in the Western Visayas region.
The fifth most frequented airport in the Philippines has the IATA code mph and the ICAO code RPVE. Often the 45 -minute flight south of Manila airport is also known as Caticlan Airport or as Boracay Airport.
The airport is classified as 2 Principal Airport Domestic Airport is Class of the Philippine Civil Aviation Authority (Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines ).
Infrastructure
The airport has a combined start and runway with a length of 950 m and a width of 30 m. The terminal of the airport consists of a small baggage claim area, and a waiting room ( boarding - area) with 120 seats. Due to the very short take-off and landing strip of the airport can be smaller than a Boeing 737 or Airbus A 320 only by small propeller aircraft, or jets, are served. Mostly the airport Bombardier Q300 of Airphil Express, Cebu Pacific ATR 72, Dornier 328, 410 Let the South East Asian Airlines and various Cessna models of the 400 series is operated. There are long- term plans, the start and runway at 2100 m to extend and build a larger station building.

Incidents
In 2009, there were restrictions in air traffic after two Xi'an MA60 Zest Airways crashed on landing on the runway. Thereafter, the supervisory authority issued a takeoff and landing ban on machines with more than 50 seats and there were conditions attached to the airport adopted. The start and runway had to be extended by 100 meters and a hill that was in the direction of approach had to be removed. After completion of the work, the airport was released. The airlines Airphil Express and Cebu Pacific took flight operations to Godofredo P. Ramos Airport in 2010 again, but Zest Airways stayed away from the airport.
