Mantsopa is a municipality in the district of Thabo Mofutsanyane, Free State Province in South Africa. In 2001, the population was 55,334 in a total area of 4291 km ². The administrative center is Ladybrand. Sello Dennis Ntsepe is the mayor.

The community is named after a sister of the Basotho head of Moshoeshoe I. Fearing their power, he banished them.
