Manuel da Costa Trindade Senoussi Marouan ( born May 6, 1986 in Saint-Max, France) is a Portuguese footballer who stands at Sivasspor under contract. Manuel da Costa is the son of a Portuguese father and a Moroccan mother.


Da Costa 's defender and is mostly used in central defense. He started his career at AS Nancy in France. After two seasons, he moved to PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch Eredivisie. With Eindhoven played da Costa in the UEFA Champions League.

After good performances, he joined the Italian first division club Fiorentina. In Florence, he completed only two competition games and awarded in January 2009 for half a year to Sampdoria. In Genoa, he completed four games, including one in the UEFA Cup.

After the end of the lending agreement, he was transferred in a barter transaction to West Ham United. In return, Savio Nsereko moved to Italy.

Since 2011 it stands at Lokomotiv Moscow under contract, he could not prevail with the Russians, so he was given to his homeland to Ncional Funchal in the season 2012/13.

Manuel da Costa was born in France, the son of a Portuguese father and a Moroccan mother and was therefore able to choose whether he wanted to play for the French, Moroccan and Portuguese national team. Although he has not mastered Portuguese, he opted for Portugal.

He completed 22 games for Portugal's U -21 national team, he also was already several times in the squad for the A national team, but was not used in any game.
