Marc Kühne

Marc Kühne ( born September 6, 1976 in Halle ( Saale) ) is a German bobsledder.

Marc Kühne is a sports soldier in the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr Frankenberg. The Sergeant was first decathlete. At the Olympic Training Center in hall he first came into contact with the Bobs, but moved there in 1998. By 2007, he went to the team of Matthias Hoepfner. Then he moved to René Spies, who, however, still before the season ended his career due to injuries. Kuehne then moved to Karl Angerer.

With Höpfner Kuehne could achieve several successes. First, they won 2002 junior world championships in two and four man. The following year they finished at the world championships in four eighth grade, in 2004 the Fourth and Seventh 2005. In the inaugural team World Cup in St. Moritz Kuehne won with the German team, which included Karl Angerer, Kiriasis and Berit Wiacker and the Skeleton driver Monique Rieke forest and Frank glue, the gold medal.

At the European Championships the double Hoepfner / Kuehne came in 2005 to fourth place in the four-man event, they won the bronze medal. Biggest sporting success was the participation in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. Here the duo finished fifth. In 2003 the German championship titles, both in two and in four-man bobsleigh, won. The following year, in both classes, the Silver Medal, 2005, the bronze medal in the four-man event. 2006, the title was again won in two, and reached the runner-up in the four-man, in 2007, the team won a bronze medal in the four-man again.
