Marcel Sieberg

Marcel Sieberg ( born April 30, 1982 in Castrop -Rauxel ) is a German racing cyclist. He currently resides in Bocholt.

Career

Marcel Sieberg is a classic specialist with strengths in the sprint. When his favorite race he called Paris -Roubaix, which he previously but could deny only once in 2007 and finished as 40th. He began his professional career in 2005 in the team Lamonta on the side of Stefan Schumacher. In 2006, he joined the cycling team Team Wiesenhof Akud. Marcel Sieberg celebrated his first success in 2005 with a victory in the Ronde van Drenthe.

In 2007 he rode for the UCI ProTeam Milram. In the second stage of the Tour de France 2007, he went along with Cédric Hervé and Ruben Perez shortly before the finish far ahead of the peloton. He was then appointed as combative rider of the stage Rochester.

2008 to 2010 he rode for Team Columbia. For the 2011 season, he joined the Omega Pharma -Lotto team and 2012 to follow team Omega Pharma -Quick Step.
