Marcel Tschopp

Marcel Tschopp ( born April 28, 1974 in Ruggell ) is a Liechtenstein long-distance runner and physician.

Career

2002 Tschopp received his doctorate at the University of Zurich as a doctor of medicine.

As a participant in the World Half Marathon Championships, he finished 2004 in New Delhi number 75 and 2005 in Edmonton 72nd place

In 2007 he finished the London Marathon on 22th place in 2:26:56 h He qualified for the marathon in the World Athletics Championships 2007 in Osaka. In sultry heat, he finished there in 2:33:42 h 47th among 57 runners who finished the race ( 28 runners had to give up).

At the Zurich Marathon 2008 he came on the 16th Place and undercut with 2:24:10,5 h, the national Olympic limit by half a second. He represented so as one of two athletes and the only athlete Liechtenstein at the Beijing Games, where he finished in 74th place in 2:35:06 h.

At the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, he finished with a running time of 2:28:54 h the 75th Place.
