Marcin Bachleda

Marcin Bachleda ( born September 4, 1982 in Zakopane ) is a Polish ski jumper.

Career

Bachleda, the ski jumping since he was 11, was inducted into the National Team in 1999. His international debut was at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1999 in Ramsau am Dachstein. The then coached by Stanisław Murzyniak Bachleda is number one 49th place on the large hill. On February 4, 2001, he was in Willingen his debut in the World Cup Ski Jumping. There, however, he could not reach top places and launched thus further parallel in the ski jumping Continental Cup, took in the Bachleda since 1999. On November 30, 2002, he reached eleventh place when jumping in Kuusamo his best ever World Cup result. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2003 in Val di Fiemme Bachleda jumped to 36th place of the 27 normal and on the place of the large hill. In the team competition, he reached the 7th place with Robert Mateja, Tomisław Tajner and Adam Malysz. On July 20, 2003, he was the first gain a Continental Cup competitions in Calgary. A week later he repeated this success at the Utah Olympic Park in Park City Jumps. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2005 in Oberstdorf, he reached the 30th place of the normal and the 47th place on the large hill. In the team competition on the normal hill he was with the team in sixth, ninth on the large hill. The 2005/06 season he was able to finish successfully and won after several individual wins and second places overall rating in the summer in the Continental Cup. In winter he reached the 33rd place. On 13 October 2007 he became the Polish Vice Champion in singles. After this success, he was inducted into the World Cup team again in December and started from December 8, 2007 in the World Cup again. In February 2008, however, he was able to win World Cup points and landed in Sapporo on the 26th place again. After he repeatedly failed to qualify at the start of the World Cup season 2008/ 09, he started from February 2009 firmly back in the Continental Cup. On 20 February 2009 he was able to celebrate the silver medal on the normal hill at the 2009 Winter Universiade in China Yabuli his greatest international success.

At the start of the World Cup season 2009/10 after a missed second passage in Kuusamo in Lillehammer successfully score again. Following this, it was mixed for Bachleda, so that he in Engelberg Ski Jumping Continental Cup was the end of December to the start, instead of traveling to the Four Hills Tournament 2009/10. In ski jumping World Cup at Kulm in January he could for a good 14th place in qualifying to compete not prevail and was 30 and 34 in Sapporo him a short time later succeeded once again a points win before it by the end of the season without success remained. When Team World Cup in Kuusamo, he landed with the team in fifth place, before he already was eliminated again after round one in the individual competition. On December 18, 2010, he succeeded in Engelberg is the only World Cup points win of the season. End of January 2011, he then moved back to the Continental. He remained there, however, until season's end without success. Although he often won points on front seats, however, he did not land. Also for the 2011/12 season he remained in the B-team. Only during the World Cup competition in Zakopane in January 2012, he went to the start, but came on the first pass not beyond again.

After he had to fight for the end of season 2011/12 and also in the summer of 2012 with his performances, he was for the 2012/13 season no starting place in the national team. Only for the Continental Cup competitions in Zakopane on 5 and 6 January 2013, was nominated and reached here a 11th and a 54th.

Bachleda is married and has a son.
