Marco Di Vaio ( born July 15, 1976 in Rome, Italy) is an Italian football player.

Since his rapid ascent in 2003, he is considered one of the best Italian striker at all, yet he played 14 times for Italy. His strengths are his both feet as well as his flair for scoring chances.

Career

Marco Di Vaio began his career in the youth section of Lazio. In 1996 he made his debut in the senior squad. Further stations were among others Hellas Verona ( 1996), Bari (1996/ 97) and Salernitana Sport ( 1997-1999). With Salernitana he won the 1997/98 Serie B. The Romans contributed 21 hits to the rise of Campanian clubs in Serie A at and secured the title of the scorer.
