Marcos Juárez
Marcos Juárez is a town in central Argentina and the capital of the department Marcos Juárez in the southeast of the province of Córdoba. The town lies on the railway line between Buenos Aires - Rosario -Córdoba, and is adjacent to Bellville with about 25,000 inhabitants, is the economic and industrial center of the region.
History
1854 a breakpoint on the road Rosario -Córdoba was created, the first Posta del Espinillo said. In 1866, the newly-built railway line reached the place. This attracted settlers who established their farms in the area. Only in 1887 the town was officially founded, it was named after a brother of the former governor, who was honored for fighting bandits in the region. 1942 was born in Marcos Juárez which later became known as concept artist Graciela Carnevale.
