Marcus Hoffmann

Marcus Hoffmann ( born October 12, 1987 in Pessin ) is a German football player.

Career

Hoffmann began at VfL Nauen playing football before he was admitted to the youth department of Energie Cottbus 2002. There he played in the B- and A- youth and in the U-23 team. For the season 2007/ 08 Hoffmann moved to FC Carl Zeiss Jena, where he, however, only in the second team was deployed and went after only one year to VFC Plauen. There he completed 61 Regional games in which he was able to achieve two goals. In summer 2010, Hoffmann to SV Babelsberg 03 in the 3rd League, where he was in the opinion of the kicker sports magazine in the first round next Deniz Dogan one of two "outstanding " central defenders in the 3rd league. The majority of the subsequent second round missed Hoffmann with a broken metatarsal.

After just one season he left the financially troubled Babelsberg and moved to third division RB Leipzig. There he signed a three-year contract until 30 June 2014. Leipzig with it increased in the 2012/13 season in the league on third. After a serious injury to the midfoot Hoffmann dissolved on 21 August 2013, his contract with the club. For the Leipzig he beheaded his only goal in a 3-2 win over Halberstadt on 26 November 2011. In January 2014 Hoffmann joined the Regionalliga West to Alemannia Aachen.
