Margalef

Margalef is a Catalan village in the province of Tarragona, in northeastern Spain. It is located in the comarca of Priorat. Margalef has 110 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013).

Geographical Location

Margalef is located about 2.5 km east of La Bisbal de Falset on the western edge of the Montsant Natural Park at the T- 713.

Sports

Margalef is one of the most important sport climbing areas in the world. Home to some of the world's hardest routes for example, " Era Bella " (9a French) and " First Round First Minute " (9b French). Both routes were first climbed by Chris Sharma.
