Marianne Kjørstad

Marianne Kjørstad ( born March 27, 1970 in Oslo, Norway ) is a Norwegian former alpine skier.

She was a specialist in the technical disciplines during the 1990s. Both in the giant slalom and the slalom she reached several podiums, although she was much more successful in the slalom.

Occasionally, they even surprised with good finishes in the Super- G and in the Alpine combined. In the overall World Cup they finished second in their three most successful winter season to the end of 1994 the 9th place, 1995 and 1996 ranked 10th in the 12th grade.

The highlight of her career was winning the bronze medal in the Alpine combined at the World Ski Championships in 1996 in the Sierra Nevada behind Pernilla Wiberg and Anita Wachter. 1997 joined Kjørstad back from racing.
