Marion Josserand

Marion Josserand ( born October 6, 1986 in Saint -Martin- d'Hères ) is a French freestyle skier. She specializes in the discipline of ski cross.

Biography

Josserand was an alpine ski racer at the start of their sports career. In December 2001, she performed for the first time in FIS races, the first missions in the European Cup was followed in January 2003. Success in this sport remained largely out why she switched to ski cross. On 10 January 2007 she made her debut in the freestyle skiing World Cup and drove it in Flaine to ninth place. At the 2007 World Championships in Madonna di Campiglio they eliminated in the semi-finals and finished sixth.

On 5 January 2009 Josserand could celebrate their first ( and so far only ) World Cup win in St Johann in Tirol. In the 2008 /09 season was followed by another podium finish, while they do not it past at the 2009 World Championships in Inawashiro on the eleventh. In the 2009/10 season Josserand was a regular in the top ten. At the 2010 Winter Olympics, she won the bronze medal behind the Canadian Ashleigh McIvor and the Norwegian Hedda Berntsen.
