Marjan Jelenko

Marjan Jelenko ( born July 22, 1991 Maribor) is a Slovenian Nordic combined.

Jelenko made ​​his international debut in 2004 at junior competitions. From March 2006, he competed in FIS races and from 2008 in the Alps and in the Continental Cup. On 31 January 2009 he was in Chaux- Neuve his debut in the World Cup Nordic Combined. In the second competition, he was able to reach the points. At the Junior World Championship 2009 in Štrbské Pleso he reached in Gundersen over 5 km to 6th place in the 10 km Gundersen on the 29th place. With the team he reached the 12th place in the team competition. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec, he had to settle for rear rankings in all individual competitions. The 2008/09 season he finished on the 74th place in the overall World Cup standings. At the Junior World Championship 2010 in Hinterzarten him his breakthrough. He won the bronze medal with the team and in the Gundersen 5 km of the silver medal. This result he was able to increase a year later at the Junior World Championships in Otepaeae yet. After he had to give over the 10 km distance nor the German Johannes Rydzek beaten, he triumphed over the 5 km distance before Rydzek and won his first international gold medal.
