Mark Selby (musician)

Mark Otis Selby (* in Enid, Oklahoma) known as Mark Selby, is an American guitarist, Blues-Rock-Sänger/-Schreiber and producer. In the 1990s, he moved to Nashville after he had purchased at the Fort Hays State University with a degree in composition.

As the author

As an author, Selby had more than 10 Top 40 hits, including four titles that were at the top of the charts. Together with his wife, Tia Sillers, he wrote, " There 's Your Trouble" for the Dixie Chicks, with which the group won their first Grammy. The best known is probably Selby co-authored by Kenny Wayne Shepherd, with whom he wrote, among other " Blue on Black", a single that was chosen by Billboard Magazine for rock track of 1998.

As a musician

Although he mainly as an author writes country music ( Trisha Yearwood, Wynonna Judd, Dixie Chicks), he prefers as a musician blues-rock.
