Markus Büchel

Markus Büchel ( born May 14, 1959 † July 9, 2013 in Ruggell ) was a Liechtenstein lawyer and politician.

Büchel belonged to the Progressive Citizens' Party in Liechtenstein and followed Hans Brunhart on 26 May 1993 as head of government of the Principality of Liechtenstein. He held office only seven months, to 15 December 1993 to Prince Hans -Adam II dissolved the parliament and call new elections ansetzte. Since the September 22, 2002 Büchel was Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation in Liechtenstein.
