Mars (Gard)

Mars is a commune of the department of Gard in the Languedoc- Roussillon region. Administratively, it is assigned to the District of Le Vigan and the Arrondissement Le Vigan.

Geography

The southern French mountain village with 172 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) located in the Cevennes on a southern slope of the Massif Central in a forest - and water-rich region ( drain on the Arre ) and is managed by the Department road D272, a serpentine, which differs from the Place Bréau -et- Salagosse winds up the mountain, serviced.

History

Mars is one of the few communities in France, which does not have its own church.
