Martin Friedland

Martin Friedland, CC, QC ( born September 21, 1932 in Toronto, Ontario ) is a Canadian lawyer and writer.

Friedland graduated from the University of Toronto and was able to complete his studies in 1955 there. He then moved to the University of Cambridge and completed his doctoral studies, he was able to successfully quit in 1965.

1960 Friedland was approved in Ontario as a lawyer. Between 1960 and 1965 he was a lecturer at the Osgoode Hall Law School, and then took up an appointment at the University of Toronto. His work there led to his habilitation in 1968 successfully. Between 1972 and 1979, he served there as Dean.

Later Friedland was appointed as Queen's Counsel.
