Martin Latka ( born September 28, 1984 in Hluboká ) is a Czech footballer who is since January 2013 at Fortuna Dusseldorf under contract.

Career

Latka began at age six in his native town Hluboká playing football. Only two years later he moved to the youth of the SK České Budějovice. In the 2001 /02 season he was there with 17 years his league debut.

In the summer of 2003, he spent 12 million kroner to Slavia Prague, where the 193 cm Latka was used regularly in the midfield. In January 2006, Slavia loaned him out to Birmingham City. But since he could not prevail there, he returned in the summer of 2006 returned to Slavia, where he was henceforth used in defense. In January 2009, Latka moved to Panionios Athens, but returned in the summer of 2011 again returned to Slavia Prague.

On January 17, 2013 Latka moved to Bundesliga Fortuna Dusseldorf, where he signed a contract until 30 June 2014.
