Johannes Martinus "Martin" van der Horst ( born April 2, 1965 in Heemskerk ) is a former Dutch volleyball player.

Martin van der Horst, with 2.14 meters in height at the time the largest player in the Bundesliga in the early 1990s, playing on the position of a middle blocker. In the 1990s he was a member of the crew of the ASV Dachau and was coach Stelian Moculescu 1995 and 1996 German champion in 1997 and DVV Cup winner. He was a member of the Dutch team, bringing with this in Barcelona at the 1992 Olympic Games silver for the Netherlands, as they lost the final 0-3 to Brazil. At the games in 2000, he was again on the Dutch selection that finished this time in Sydney to fifth place. In the years 1991 and 2000 he was awarded in the Volleyball World League as the best blocker.
