Marvin Wijks ( born May 11, 1984 in Paramaribo, Suriname) is a Dutch football player. The striker is since August 2011 at VfB Germania Halberstadt under contract.

Career

Wijks played in youth at Sparta Rotterdam. His professional debut was also at Sparta in the game of the Eredivisie against ADO Den Haag, on 4 December 2005. This was his only game for Sparta Rotterdam in the professional sector, before switching to HFC Haarlem in the Eerste Divisie, the second highest league in the Netherlands. His first goal for Haarlem, he scored on 29 September 2006 against AGOVV Apeldoorn.

30 May 2009 Wijks ' contract was extended for another two years until 2011. In February 2010, however, the HFC Haarlem went bankrupt, so that the striker was before the summer break without a club.

In summer 2010, he signed with the then coached by Dutchman Ruud Kaiser regional league 1 FC Magdeburg a contract for two years. After the end of the season 2010/2011 Wijks was however informed that the club no longer plan on using it. Therefore, the contract was terminated in August 2011 ahead of schedule.

The end of August Wijks signed a contract with the Regional Movers VfB Germania Halberstadt.
