Mateus Paraná

Edmar Gees de Souza ( born May 21, 1987 in Arapongas ), also called Mateus, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a striker.

Edmar Gees de Souza played the Japanese football association Virgin, where he scored six goals in five games. During the winter break, he moved to IRACI, a Brazilian football club, where he scored five goals in ten games.

In summer 2006 he undertook the Turkish football club Fenerbahçe Istanbul, where he signed a five-year contract. However, because the alien control, it could not be used ( in the Turkish League Turkcell Süper Ligi clubs may have a maximum of six foreign players - Mateus was the seventh foreigner at Fenerbahçe ), but was immediately loaned to Bursaspor other than its quota of foreign players still had been exhausted.

In Fenerbahçe he is under contract until 2011.
