Mathéo Tuscher

Mathéo Tuscher (* 12 December 1996 in Noville VD ) is a French-Swiss race car driver. He started partly with Czech racing license.

Career

Tuscher began his motor racing career at the age of three years in karting, where he was active until 2010. Among other things, he won the 2009 Swiss KF3 Kart Championship.

In early 2011 made ​​Tuscher first experience in Formula racing. He tested a Formula 3 car under the supervision of Luca Baldisserri, head of the driver development program of the Scuderia Ferrari. His first racing commitments in Formula racing had Tuscher 2011 in the Formula Pilota China Series. He started in this series with Czech license and the Czech flag. As he he was at the time 14 years old, the Asian series was one of the few ways to go already at this age in Formula racing race. Tuscher won eight out of twelve races and the championship decided dominant for themselves. In the winter of 2011/2012 he first took part in tests of Formula 2 and then under the Swiss flag on test drives of the GP3 series under the French flag. He was placed within the first ten. Tuscher finally got a cockpit in the FIA ​​Formula 2 Championship, in which he starts under the Swiss flag for the 2012 season. He is at the age of 15, the youngest at that time Formula 2 driver at all. Already in his first qualifying, he scored the pole position. On the second weekend, he finished both races in second place, scoring his first podium placings. Tuscher won two races and finished with 210 points to 231.5 second in the drivers' standings behind Luciano Bacheta. Tuscher in the 2012 season was the best rookie.

2013 Tuscher was after setting the formula 2 without a fixed cockpit. He took part in only one event in the Formula Renault 3.5 for Zeta Corse.

Others

Tuscher is managed by Craig Pollock. Pollock was the first team boss of Formula 1 racing team British American Racing and the former manager of the world champion Jacques Villeneuve.
