Matthew Garrett Forté ( born December 10, 1985 in Lake Charles, Louisiana ) is an American football player at the position of the running backs. He plays for the Chicago Bears in the National Football League ( NFL).

College career

Forté played in the National Collegiate Athletic Association ( NCAA) Division I college football for Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, a member of Conference USA. He reached 44 touchdowns and 99.2 yards per game erlaufene within three years. In addition, he finished his college career as the second best running back of the history of the University and in 2007 was the eleventh player in the history of NCAA Division I, which reached over 2,000 yards in a season. With 2127 yards, he was the seventh-best all time.

Forte was selected in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. He ran in his rookie season 1,238 yards for the Bears. In the 2011 season he was first elected to the Pro Bowl.
