Matteucci Medal
The Matteucci Medal (Italian Medaglia Matteucci ) is named after the Italian physicist Carlo Matteucci ( 1811-1868 ) named, who had also initiated.
It is awarded annually by the Accademia Nazionale delle Scienze physicists who provided fundamental contributions to science. On July 10th, 1870 King Victor Emmanuel II granted the right to award donated by Matteucci price by decree of the Academy. The medal is one of the oldest scientific prizes.
