Matthieu Delpierre (2007)

Matthieu Delpierre ( born April 26, 1981 in Nancy ) is a French football player.

Career

Association

Before he moved to VfB Stuttgart for the 2004/05 season, he worked at OSC Lille. In his first season at VfB Stuttgart, he was not regularly used. First of the Season 2005/ 06 undertook coach Giovanni Trapattoni formed from the young defender a fixture in the VfB back line. Despite a torn ligament suffered early in the season Delpierre completed 29 Bundesliga games, eight UEFA Cup matches and two League Cup bets. In the season 2006/ 07 he became a regular in the VfB defensive and became German champion VfB. It was the first title in Delpierres career. In addition, he stood with VfB in the DFB Cup final.

After the expiration of his contract at the Stuttgarten Delpierre moved to season 2012/ 13 for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and signed a two-year contract until 30 June 2014., Where he was however rejected by Markus Gisdol and had to train in the controversial training group 2 of Hoffenheim.

On January 31, 2014 Delpierre moved to FC Utrecht.

National

Delpierre went through the French youth teams up to U- 21st After he was appointed by French coach Raymond Domenech in the levy of the senior national team for the matches against Mali and England, he Delpierre on 25 March 2008 in the match against the national team of Mali from the beginning.
