Maurice Garçon

Maurice Garçon ( born November 25, 1889 in Lille, † December 29, 1967 in Paris) was a French writer, lawyer, historian and member of the Académie française.

Garçon, son of a lawyer, studied law and joined the Bar of Paris. He made himself as a trial lawyer and an attorney with literary processes a name. For example, he represented the Académie Goncourt ( corresponding to the known literature prize, the Prix Goncourt award ). His clients included, among others Henri Georges Girard and René Hardy. Notable cases were also the affair Obernaundorf in it. A supposed descendant of Louis XVIII went, and the process to the legacy of the painter Pierre Bonnard 1952.

His literary work includes several works on witchcraft, history and legal eloquence.

On April 4, 1946 Garçon was admitted to the Académie française.
