Mauro Calamia

Mauro Calamia ( born January 20, 1992) is a Swiss race car driver.

Career

Calamia began his motorsport career in 2005 in karting, where he was active until 2008. In 2009 he moved to the Formula racing and entered for Daltec Racing in the Formula Lista junior. With a third place as best result he finished tenth in the drivers' standings. In 2010, he remained in this series and launched for Torino Motorsport. In the overall standings, he came eleventh. 2011 Calamia returned to Daltec Racing and raced in the Formula Renault Alpine. He finished the season in tenth place from the drivers' standings. In addition, he participated in three races of the North European Formula Renault for Daltec Racing.

2012 Calamia received a cockpit in the FIA ​​Formula 2 Championship. He got two race weekends before the end of the season from the series and finished 18th in the driver standings.
