Max Eberl (2008)

Max Eberl ( born September 21, 1973 in Bow, Lower Bavaria ) is a German football official and former football player.

Career

Clubs

Emerged from the youth of the FC Bayern Munich, with the B- youth, he became German champion in 1989, Eberl played from 1991 for their amateur team in the Regionalliga Süd; to 1994, he graduated from 48 games. The professional team he belonged to in the 1991/92 season and came only in the Bundesliga meeting on 19 October 1991 ( 14th Round ) in the 2:3 defeat in the away match against VfB Stuttgart used.

After six seasons for VfL Bochum and SpVgg Greuther Fürth in the first and second Bundesliga Max Eberl came in 1999 as a defender for Borussia Moenchengladbach, the club he on 17 April 2004 ( 29th Round ), in a 1-1 draw in the home match against Hertha BSC, his last of 215 league games played - and remained in this without scoring.

Officially, he belonged to the squad yet for season 2004 /05, but since the beginning of 2005 he worked as a youth coordinator at Borussia Moenchengladbach. After the dismissal of head coach Jos Luhukay Eberl and Steffen Korell then took over the lead role in finding a new coach, since the actual sporting director Christian goat also had to supervise the first team by the multiple burdens as interim coach.

With the inauguration of Hans Meyer as head coach Max Eberl took 19 October 2008 the post of sporting director Christian goat. On 24 June 2010 he moved additionally together with Stephan Schippers on the management of Borussia Mönchengladbach GmbH.

National

Eberl played his first game for the U-20 national team on 20 October 1992 in a 1-1 draw against the selection of Mexico. Seven other matches followed, including two at the Junior World Championships in Australia in 1993, in which the U-20 national team already eliminated from the tournament in the first round.

For the U-21 national team, he was twelve times used, whereby he in Koblenz when exchanging Christian Nerlinger also took over the captaincy from him on 16 November 1993 the game against the national team of Luxembourg was won 2-0. His last international game he played on 10 October 1995 in Cardiff 's 5-1 win against the selected team Wales '. He remained in the national team, in which he came 20 times used without a goal.
