McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park

McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park is a sculpture park and gallery of modern art in Langwarring at Melbourne in Victoria Australia.

Gallery and Sculpture Park

McClelland was founded in 1971 at the suggestion of Annie May McClelland in honor of her brother Harry McClelland, an artist and philanthropist who owned the land and had a significant role in the development of artists of Victoris. The museum is next to the sculpture park outdoors three Ausstellungsräumlichenkeiten harboring Australian sculpture, graphics and photography since 1989 and a sculpture park, the eight extended in 2007 by a total of 16 hectares. In this sculpture park located 70 sculptors, including works by Auguste Rodin ( Monument pour Balzac ) and Henry Moore ( Draped Seated Woman ) as well as by Australian sculptors.

For permanent collection includes works by the artist group the Centre Five by Inge King, Norma Redpath, Clifford load and Lenton Parr, to which the McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park has a special relationship.
