Meander Valley Council

Meander Valley is located in the north of the island about 160 km north of the capital, Hobart. The area includes 39 districts and towns: Blackstone Heights, Birralee, Bracknell, Carrick, Exton, Hadspen, Hagley, Jackeys Marsh, Kimberley, Liena, Mayberry, Meander Mole Creek, Moltema, Montana, Needles, Oaks, Osmaston, Parkham, Prospect Vale, Quamby Bend, Quamby Brook, Red Hill, Reedy Marsh, Selbourne, Travellers Rest, Weegena, Westbury, Westwood and Whitemore. The headquarters of the Council is located in Westbury in the east of the LGA where about 1900 inhabitants.
Management
The Meander Valley Council has nine members. The Mayor ( Mayor ), his deputy ( deputies) and Councillor seven are elected directly by the residents of the LGA. Meander Valley is not divided into districts.
