Mercedes-Benz CL-Class
As the coupe variants of the S- Class from Mercedes- Benz Mercedes -Benz CL-Class were known from 1996 to 2013. Before the introduction of class designation CL-Class (Coupe Light ) of Mercedes -Benz coupes were the S-Class ( 126 series and 140 series ) is still called SEC, from 1993 with the designations S 420 C, 500 C or S S 600 C named (C 140). The term CL-Class was introduced in 1996 during the construction of the coupe of the 140 series. CL-Class was over three generations, the official sales designation for the upper-class coupe from Mercedes -Benz. The successor of the C 216, the C 217, Mercedes- Benz introduced in the spring of 2014 S -Class Coupe as a sales description.
The Mercedes -Benz CL-Class is based on the respective Mercedes S -Class and has, in addition to the construction with two doors further changes in the body on.
The smallest engine of the CL -Class CL 500 with 4.7 -liter displacement, the (435 PS) features in the current version over 320 kW.
