Metromover

The Miami -Dade Metromover is a people mover that operates in the city of Miami in Florida, where many office buildings and public facilities connecting with each other. It was opened on 17 April 1986, serves 20 stations and carried approximately 28,500 passengers a day. It is operated by the local traffic authority Miami -Dade Transit. The use of the Metro Movers is free.

The network is 4.4 miles (7.1 km) long and consists of three routes: A two-pronged, opposite busy loop with a side length of about 0.5 miles ( 0.8 km ) on the north side of Miami runs along the North Fifth Street to the north, Second Avenue and Biscayne Blvd in the east, the South Third Street to the south and West First Avenue in the west. From this loop branch off two-sample distances, south to South 14th Street in Brickell Financial District on the other side of the Miami and another north to the American Airlines Arena, the bus station and the Omni Shopping Centre. The Government Center stations on the west side of the loop and Brickell on the southern section serve as transfer stations for the elevated railway.

The routes have been all elevated. Along the route there is a single row of steel -concrete columns, on which each track a pair of longitudinal members is mounted in white painted steel. On each of these couples turn rest two "half" concrete roadways, where a metal guide rail disposed between the middle.

The car park consists of a total of 29 driverless cars Bombardier CX -100. They are guided by the rail in the center and supplied with power. They roll on four rubber tires on the concrete pavement.

On the routes operate a total of three lines. The Downtown Loop runs on the inner loop in a clockwise direction, the prices of Brickell Loop and the Omni Loop to operate each of the two stitch lines and cruise the loop counterclockwise.

In December 2013, the station Bicentennial Park was reopened under the new name of Museum Park.
