Michael Cole

Michael Sean Coulthard ( born December 8, 1968 in Syracuse, New York ), better known under the name Michael Cole, is an American former journalist and current commentator on the Wrestling Ring broadcasts produced by WWE RAW and Smackdown.

Career

Coulthard went in 1997 to the then World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) and began to be used as pseudonym the name " Michael Cole ". Together with Jim Cornette, he was moderator of the "Live Wire" show and worked as a backstage interviewer. From the end of 1997 he appeared with Jim Ross and Kevin Kelly one of the three commentators for the first hour of RAW. After he was for a time replaced by Jerry Lawler, he got in 1999 the post of regular commentator of RAW spending.

As her new show WWE Smackdown started, they sent Coulthard there to take over on the side of Taz the comments of the local matches. A short time he also commented on the B -show Velocity. After his partner Taz was a commentator of the newly created ECW brands, Coulthard John Layfield got as co- commentator. This in turn gave the end of 2007 his return as an active wrestler, so that his post was taken over in January 2008 by Jonathan Coachman. Since the end of the feud he has worked as a commentator on RAW next Lawler again. In addition, Coulthard commented from October 2010 to October 2012 again SmackDown, this time with Josh Matthews, with whom he had heard in the first three seasons of WWE NXT.

Special attention was given Coulthard during RAW Episode dated 10 September 2012 in which his commentators colleague Jerry Lawler suffered a heart attack. After Lawler had been brought out of the hall and revived, Coulthard entertained the audience during the show remaining up to date regarding the state of health of Lawler, but commented no matches with more. For this professional behavior, he received much praise from the officials, the other superstars and the fans of the WWE.
