Michael Feinstein

Michael Feinstein ( born September 7, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio) is an American singer, songwriter and pianist. Feinstein is best known for his repertoire of songs from the Great American Songbook.

Life

Feinstein was born in 1956, the son of Florence Mazie and Edward Feinstein. In his childhood he learned to play the piano and went with 20 years of his schooling in Ohio to Los Angeles, where he spent two years as a piano player in bars. There learned Feinstein Ira Gershwin know who hired him six years in Beverly Hills, to catalog his vast collection of music recordings ( and his brother George Gershwin ). In October 2008, Feinstein married his lifelong partner Terrence Flannery. 2009 Feinstein joined forces with the singer Cheyenne Jackson in a music show The Power of Two in New York City on.
