Michael Gravgaard

Michael Julius Gravgaard ( born April 3, 1978 in Randers ) is a former Danish football player.

Club career

The aerially strong central defender played in his youth at Spentrup IF. From 1996 to 2002 he played for Randers Freja and then to 2005 in Viborg FF, for which he - used partly as a center forward - scored 18 goals in 94 games. He then joined for FC Copenhagen and then the French first division club FC Nantes.

On 1 February 2009, the Hamburger SV announced that he has Gravgaard loaned until the end of the season; he intended to replace Bastian Reinhardt (broken rear half kick-off to 2008/ 09) in central defense.
