Michael William Warfel

Michael William Warfel ( born September 16, 1948 in Elkhart ) is an American clergyman and Bishop of Great Falls - Billings.

Life

Michael William Warfel received on 26 April 1980, the ordination.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 19 November 1996 as Bishop of Juneau. The Archbishop of Anchorage, Francis Thomas Hurley, donated to him on 17 December of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Michael Joseph Kaniecki SJ, Bishop of Fairbanks, and William Stephen Skylstad, Bishop of Spokane.

From 23 October 2001 to 7 June 2002, he was Apostolic Administrator of Fairbanks during the period of vacancy.

On 20 November 2007 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him. appointed Bishop of Great Falls - Billings and introduced into the office on January 16 of next year.
