Michal Grošek

Michal Grošek ( born June 1, 1975 in Vyškov, Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech ice hockey player. During his career he played for the Winnipeg Jets, Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Rangers and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League played.

Career

Grošek began his career with HC Zlin. After he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1993 in the sixth round as the 145th of the Winnipeg Jets, he moved to North America to the Tacoma Rockets in the WHL. Even in his first season, he also played for the Moncton Hawks in the AHL and was also used for the Winnipeg Jets in his first three missions of the National Hockey League, where he also scored his first goal.

In the next two years he was able to fight for a regular place in the Jets and was used mostly in the AHL farm team for the Springfield Falcons. Thus During the season 1994/95 he moved to the Buffalo Sabres, where he has made ​​a breakthrough in the NHL. His best offensive performance was Grošek during the season 1998/99, when he set personal records for goals scored (20) Templates (30 ), points scorer (50 ), penalty minutes ( 102) and given shots (140). In exchange for Doug Gilmour and Jean -Pierre Dumont, he moved to the end of the 1999/2000 season to the Chicago Blackhawks. As early as the following season he moved to the New York Rangers. In the two seasons with the Rangers, he was often used in the AHL with the Hartford Wolf Pack. It was followed by two seasons with the Boston Bruins.

When the NHL went on strike for the season 2004/ 05, he moved with an NHL record of 526 games, 84 goals and 137 assists in the Swiss National League A for HC Servette Genève.
