MIDAL

The MIDAL (Central Germany connecting pipeline ) is 702 km long natural gas pipeline in Germany.

MIDAL runs from the North Sea coast to southern Germany. The diameter of the pipeline, depending on section 800/900 mm or 1000 mm. After the construction was started in May 1992, the pipeline was put into operation in late 1993. Part of the Midal is the Rehden -Hamburg gas pipeline.

The main line runs from Rysum to near Emden located Jemgum storage facility, then to natural gas storage Rehden, from there to the compressor station lip where the WEDAL branches off into the direction of Aachen. Subsequently, the MIDAL binds at the compressor station Reckrod (North East Hesse ) to the Saxony-Thuringia natural gas line leading to the Czech border at Olbernhau in the Erzgebirge. From Reckrod MIDAL runs towards the southwest to Ludwigshafen, where they in the natural gas pipeline Rhein-Main ( ERM) is continued after Jockgrim.
