Midge Decter

Midge Decter Rosenthal ( born July 25, 1927 in Saint Paul ) is an American journalist and journalist.

Life

Decter attended the University of Minnesota, the Jewish Theological Seminary and the New York University. She then worked among others for Commentary and Harper 's Magazine. She has published in, among others The Atlantic, The Weekly Standard, National Review, The New Republic and The American Spectator. She was vice chairman of the think tank antikommonistischen Committee for the Free World. She is also founder of the conservative non-profit organization Independent Women 's Forum, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Heritage Foundation and a member of the Philadelphia Society. It is a signatory to the Statement of Principles of Project for the New American Century.

She is married to Norman Podhoretz and has four children, including John Podhoretz.
