Miguel Veloso ( born May 11, 1986 in Coimbra ), Miguel Luís Pinto Veloso actually, is a Portuguese footballer.

Career

Association

Already Velosos father Antonio was a professional footballer, he played for Benfica and the Portuguese national football team. Miguel Veloso began his career, like his father, at Benfica. However, in the age of 14 he moved to the city rivals Sporting Lisbon. After four years in the youth teams of the club you loaned him in the season 2005 /06 on CD Olivais e Moscavide. After a good season there, he was inducted into the Sporting's first team. In July 2010 he moved to Genoa, in turn joined Alberto Zapater to Sporting Lisbon. After his impressive performances at the European Championships Veloso signed beginning of July 2012 a four-year contract with Dynamo Kiev.

National

Veloso was first nominated in August 2007 for the Portuguese national team. He made his debut on 13 October 2007 against Azerbaijan and stood in the Portuguese squad of Euro 2008 and 2012, and the 2010 World Cup.
